Manhattan Beach is in the choice coastal edge of Los Angeles County, just 17 miles from downtown Los Angeles and five miles south of Los Angeles International Airport. Fun facts: the Roundhouse Aquarium, located at the end of the pier was once the surf shop where Keanu Reeves buys his surfboard in the movie “Point Break.” It’s probably the best beach city to people watch and spot a celebrity.
